Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I spent my days exploring the desert and learning that it was more than a vast wasteland. I have climbed mountains, thrown snowballs, and admired the desert flora and fauna. After completing my Bachelors of Science in Geophysics at the University of Arizona, I relocated to Corvallis, Oregon in pursuit of a doctorate in Volcanology.
My life and the people in it take me to incredible places. Over the summer, I spent three weeks in Southeast Asia experiencing the culture, exploring a 74 kya supervolcano, and falling in love with an active volcano. I hope to spend the rest of my trips around the sun: exploring our earth, working on volcanic hazard assessment and mitigation, and loving everyone and everything in my life. So here’s to hoping that at the end of the day my feet are dirty, hair is messy, and eyes are sparkling!
